Description of services

BonAura GmbH sells electricity-free dehumidifiers and matching granule bags for regulating humidity. These products can be purchased for private and commercial use in the BonAura GmbH web shop.

Accessibility statement

BonAura GmbH endeavours to make the content and functions of this website accessible in line with the requirements of the German Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0), the European standard EN 301 549 and the internationally recognised WCAG 2.1 guidelines (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).

Level of compliance

This website is partially accessible. It partially meets the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1.

The assessment is based on a technical analysis using the app SEA Accessibility EAA ADA WCAG (Shopify App Store) and additional internal testing.

We are currently working on making the website fully compliant with these regulations at conformance level AA.

Non-accessible content

Despite our efforts, the following content and functions are currently not accessible or only partially accessible:

- Ambiguous labelling and missing labels on individual form fields. (WCAG 3.3.2)

- Non-text content (e.g. images, icons) partly lacks alternative text. (WCAG 1.1.1)

- Interactive elements without a recognisable name, which means screen readers cannot interpret them unambiguously. (WCAG 4.1.2)

- Overlapping elements (e.g. modals) can move or obscure the focus. (WCAG 2.4.11)

- Several HTML elements with identical IDs, which can cause conflicts with assistive technologies. (WCAG 4.1.1)

- Missing ARIA roles on status messages, which means screen readers do not detect a change of status. (WCAG 4.1.3)

- Visual structure without semantic coding, which can create comprehension barriers with tables or lists, for example. (WCAG 1.3.1)

- Insufficient contrast or small interactive elements that do not meet the minimum sizes. (WCAG 2.5.8)

- Content on hover or focus cannot be controlled manually in all cases. (WCAG 1.4.13)

Most of these points have already been addressed with the app “SEA Accessibility EAA ADA WCAG”. Further measures to improve accessibility are planned.
