First steps — please read

The same eight points as on the card inside your box. If you can no longer find it, here they are.

  1. Assemble. Take out the sealed granule bags and assemble your AirOne correctly.
  2. Unwrap. Take the first granule bag out of its plastic wrapper and place it on the inner frame.
  3. Set it up. Position the AirOne so that air can flow freely around it from every side.
  4. Place it well. Keep it away from heaters and ideally put it where there is a little airflow.
  5. Be patient. During the first 21 days the granules absorb moisture and harden up first.
  6. Collect. After about 3 weeks the first water should have gathered in the container below.
  7. Empty. Once water collects in the container, pour it straight into the sink.
  8. Replace. When the granule bag is spent, put it in your household waste and insert a fresh one.

No water is collecting. Is it broken?

Almost certainly not — you are most likely just early. This is point 5 of the instructions and by far the most common question we get: during the first 21 days the granules take up moisture and harden before anything becomes visible. Only after roughly three weeks does the first water gather in the container below. Until then your AirOne is already working — you simply cannot see it yet.

If nothing has happened after more than three weeks, it is almost always the location: the AirOne needs free airflow on all sides, must not stand right next to a heater, and works best where air moves. Wedged between furniture or hidden behind a curtain it cannot do its job.

When does the bag need changing?

One bag works for around three months. It is finished once the granules have turned completely into gel. Old bag into the household waste, fresh bag in — that is point 8.
